At what age should I begin corporal punishment -
09-04-2013, 08:38 PM
As any True Christian™ knows, God commands us to discipline our offspring with corporal punishment, as told in Proverbs 13:24, Proverbs 23:13-14 and Proverbs 19:18 for just three examples. But at what age should we start? My son has very recently given my a grandson, and, as I have the most Biblical knowledge, I will be his Bible tutor. (Unless a Landover Pastor wants to adopt a British baby?) Obviously, he will be requiring correction at times, but when is the right age to start?

There's no minimum age on corporal punishment in the Bible. However, you need to let common decency be your guide. Please wait until after a child has been born before beating him.

Thank you for the advice, that does seem sensible. But he should know that I won't tolerate any ungodly behavior, even if he's only a week old!

Just make sure you beat your child with Christian Love in your heart. That's what differentiates us from the coons.

If I ever have a son I will start early and often, but once he knows right from wrong I'll watch from the sidelines and only discipline with words of understanding from the good book. That would be around age 7 or 8. If I have a girl it will be a little more difficult. I feel that the mother should discipline them up until the age of 15 or 16 then the father should take over from that point. Should the girl be married the father would then hand over duties to the husband. At some point say around age 50....although that one "soloflex grandma" still seemed alright...I'd say the spankings could stop.

By 'words of understanding' you mean Psalm 9:17, don't you?
Exodus 20:3 - Thou shalt have no other gods before me
Romans 8:35 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

You talk all the time about beating women and children, does that bring you some kind of sick pleasure? You should know that violence is wrong, your so called "corporal punishment" is abuse!

It's Biblically justified discipline (see the Scripture quotes in the posts above). Why are you rebelling against God?

Yeah sure, well your "discipline" can also KILL children if you don't control it. I swear, the day I have children, I'll keep them very far away from your satanic cult, I'll never use a book to justify violence agains them
Look at them, don't they look better and happier with their faces and bodies intact instead having them covered by bruises and crying of pain? I don't care what a book says, hurting a child is wrong. If you want to "discipline" somebody, do it to someone of your size

And send the unborn child to Hell when something goes wrong?
The proper answer to this question: " Start hitting your child with a rod 16 weeks before birth!"

You are suggesting the worst of child abuse imaginable here. YOU ARE SENDING THESE CHILDREN STRAIGHT TO HELL!!! People like you make me very sick. They should lock you up with all those other child raping Obama voters and throw away the key!
Since you clearly didn't bother to read the first post of this thread let me repeat what God has to say on this matter:
Proverbs 23:13-14 "Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."
So as you can see, you either beat up the child or it will burn in the fires of Hell for all eternity. Only a deranged insane criminal would send an innocent child to the fires of Hell!
Freedom means voting for Donald Trump!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!
James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

This thread is not about killing children, DUH.
That's covered in other verses (Deut. 21:18-21, among others).

Then why are you here?
Please bear in mind that you are here as a guest in our space, not the other way around, and keep a civil tongue in your head. Perhaps you are over-tired, or even what the Brits call "tired and emotional" - it is after 3 in the morning in Chile. I would recommend taking a nap.
