Couldn't agree more! Now, about the other subject concerning races in Freehold, well I think you all know how I feel.

I looked at the extended weather forecast for greater Freehold this winter.
1 Cold enough to freeze the man parts on a monkey
2 Snow, rectum deep on a ten foot injun.
3 I am heading south in a few weeks, hopefully with 2 new personal assistants. Here is a photo from my dock in the Keys, its good to be me.
Pastor Ezekiel and Rev Jim, I will keep the south wing open for you.

Brothrer Dewitt--I think it is wonderful that God has blessed you with such prosperity. God has blessed the rest of us in Freehold with a City that is nearly free of sin, and, I am greatful for that.
I'm also looking forward to our first beautiful heavy snowfall to see how our citizens like the new policy. It will be a little harder to get around, but I think they will take ownership of the principles we are trying to live up to here in Freehold.

Mayor Hold I too hope that God lays a heavy white blanket over Freehold. I am sure that a few citizens will be some what inconvenience. Because I am a True Christian™ I have purchased 2500 plastic snow shovels and have them stored at the Freehold Hardware Store. When the first heavy snow comes they will go on sale for a small fee, plus local, state and federal taxes. I also purchased all the snow blowers in town, again they will be on sale. YIC James Dewitt

I'm just glad that I won't be told to wait again for that pack of stray dogs to come by and piss on the snow to melt it.

Mayor, once again, a member of my Board has gotten hold of your latest cost-cutting scheme. "Look," said Mrs. Davies, waving the paper in my face at the last board meeting. "That cheap so-and-so wants to eliminate snow removal. This, after he has still failed to capture that Spring-Heeled Jack criminal! And you thought you were going to convince us to visit there for Easter? So what if they have a beautiful service? How will we get to the church from the hotel? How will we get to the Christian shopping malls? Should we be expected to rent Hummers with chains and spend an hour to go ten miles? Nobody is going to put up with that!"
For once, I think that tiresome busybody is right. Visitors simply won't come to Freehold in winter if they can't get out of their hotels in anything other than a tank or snowmobile.
Congratulations on your latest blow to Freehold's economy. I'm sure the local hospitality industry will make their love for your policies well known in the next election!

Brother, if travel is an issue, I can fit 5 people in the cab of the truck, I'm not sure how many in the camper, and 10 in the dog trailer (if they don't mind scooting in there). My truck is reliable in the snow, but the trailer may swish a bit.

The snow isn't really that bad in Freehold. Last year I had to clear out my driveway a few times, but other than that it's a winter wonderland.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Rev. Rodimer--This measure, like much of our local government decisions in Freehold, has little to do with our economy and much to do with theology. For example, we have turned down a request by Victoria's Secret (the secret is that it's porn) to do business in Freehold.
Perhaps as a Pastor you could shed some light on why it is perfectly OK to move snow after God placed it in a specific location? I know, most cities move it all over the place, even put it on trucks to move it out of their downtowns.
But, I don't see how it can be right to haul the snow from one place to another location. If God have wanted it somewhere else it would have fallen there in the first place.
As to your pending visit to Freehold, I must be honest here. I believe you will need to bring along some of those tire chains. They are easy to install over your tires and you will get around Freehold just fine. We're looking forward to your arrival.

Mayor, do you go out into the fields every day and eat what you find there, in the field, rain or shine?
What clothing do you wear?
Do you have running water in your home? Gutters to transport rain from your house?
If it is wrong to move snow, surely it is also wrong to pipe water to different locations, or to transport food or fibers to make goods for consumption. It must be even worse to tear ores out of the earth, smelt them, and manufacture them into the tire chains you recommend. Please provide your Scriptural justification for doing all these things, since clearly you must consider them sinful.
I strongly suggest you leave the theology to those with training in the area.

You make a good point, Rev, that I would probably benefit from conferring with someone who has training in theology. I've always said, here, that I'm not a theologian.
My background is in the field of common sense. When snow falls where it does, there must be some good reason for the Almighty to have put it there. Now, if someone could give me some good evidence that God wants the snow somewhere else, I'd take a second look.
Some of the things you talk about that are moved simply go down hill. I don't see anything wrong with those. The others I just don't really know what to think. I don't think one can assume it's OK to move anything and everything from locations where God orignially placed them.

Then I assume you will stop having water pumped up to your home on the hill, or pumped out of the ground where God put it, and you will stop buying and using goods made by extraction and smelting, or which have been moved from one place to another.

Rev., I hesitate to argue with a man of the cloth as you are. Yet, I am compelled to point out the the examples you use have nothing to do with moving the snow God placed on his good earth at a particular location.
As I recall our local Pastors have taken a position opposing moving Ten Commandment Monuments off of public property where God wants them displayed. I take from that insite and inspiration. If God want these stone monuments left where he placed them, why would he not want snow also to remain where it fell?

Well I must admit that after today's 6 inches of snow, the Mayors plan worked flawlessly. Granted the main streets as well as the side streets are a bit messy but the roads leading to the church are as clean as if it was a summer day. On a personal note it was a banner day for Dewitt's Freehold Hardware, and Dewitt's plowing. Keep up the good work Mayor Hold. Did I mention we have a large supply of snow removal equipment and salt at Dewitt's Hardware?

Therefore, it certainly is no more or less OK to pump water out of the ground, where God put it, than it is to move snow a few feet to clear a road. You believe it is wrong to move the snow a few feet. It must also then be wrong to pump water hundreds or thousands of feet from underground. If God wanted water in your sink, wouldn't He put it there Himself?
But hey, if you want to be a hypocrite, be my guest. How does God feel about hypocrites, Mayor?

God did not place the stone monuments on public property. People cut the stone from a quarry, carved it, and transported it to Freehold.
Was that sinful?

Again, I'm reluctant the take issue with you, Rev., but God meant for the Ten Commandments to be there. Otherwise we True Christians(TC) would not care whether these stones were moved or not.
In that sense, God placed them there, just as He did the snow. I think we can both agree on these points.

Nope.
Humans placed the monuments . .. just as humans move snow.
Why not try something different?
Instead of destroying Freeholds economy by allowing everyone to be snowed in (and reducing church attendance on snowy Sundays), why not sponsor a competition between local businesses and schools to use the plowed-up clean snow in building wintertime Christian monuments?
Angels we have heard on high
The 144,000 Jews (with signs in Hebrew, or something)
Another angel
Just imagine . . . Beautiful sculptures built of snow, perhaps with lights embedded, and judged monthly all winter. People would flock from several states away to see that!

We have a wonderful GATED community for just that reason. We do not want people from other states to flock to our city. If I wanted to live with riff raff and sinners I would have stayed in NY.
