I'm not sure if you realize, but Ephesians were written after the time of Christ and is based purely on His ideas. You also seem to miss out that as Christ says it, every Christian woman MUST be subject to their husbands.
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

And who wrote Ephesians? Paul, the Apostle - Met Christ on the road to Damascus in his glory. I can honestly say I haven't met Christ in that powerful a way.. but neither have you. And neither has anyone else on this forum.
And who wrote to his disciple Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16 where he said "ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD BREATHED...", again, PAUL, the same one so filled and submitted to the Holy Spirit that his mind and words were being guided along supernaturally while writing these letters for the strengthening and reproof of Christ's Body, the Church (fine, 20-40 years after Christ's ascension, so what!).
Out one side of your mouth you write "Ephesians is written purely based on Christ's ideas", and out the other side you tightly grasp Ephesians and Colossians to justify BEATING WOMEN!?! MAKE UP YOUR MIND YOU DOUBLE-MINDED!! GOD-BREATHED TRUTH OR NOT?!
These APOSTLES were charged with the establishment of this beautiful representation of the Body - the CHURCH - to the world to get the gospel out. But clearly most of the members on this forum are lost to that and simply run around belittling people (ie: Lost, unsaved, confused midgets stuff in bondage and under demonic oppression), making fun of them, and scaring them away from the good news. The good news is offensive enough as it is to all of us who are proud and of reprobate minds! HAVE YOU NOT FORGOTTEN THAT YOU WERE ONCE A LOWLY UNSAVED SINNER DESERVING OF ETERNAL HELL AND SEPARATION FROM OUR GOOD GOD!? HOW DARE YOU ALL SPIT UPON THOSE WHO ARE LOST AND KNOW NO BETTER! HOW DARE YOU DEFILE THE WORD OF OUR LORD!!! YOU ARE PHARISEES!!! BROOD OF VIPERS!! WHITE-WASHED TOMBS!!!!
YOU CHERRY PICK VERSES FOR YOUR OWN DESIGN!!! Read on, brother (if I can call you that), Ephesians 5:23, "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body" THE SAVIOUR! We are to be the Body, submitted to the head, going where He wishes us to go, serving where He wants us to serve, loving where He wants us to love! YOUR TYPE IS A DISGRACE! STANDING ON STREET CORNERS SCREAMING AT PEOPLE IN HATRED!!! WHO WAS IT THAT CHRIST HATED?!!? THE RELIGIOUS!!! THE PHARISEES!!! YES WE WHEN LOST MUST KNOW OUR SIN TO KNOW OUR NEED OF A SAVIOUR, BUT LOOK AT HOW GOD DELIVERS SUCH NEWS; WITH COMPASSION!!! READ JOHN 4 with the WOMAN AT THE WELL!! READ JOHN 1:14, Christ came full of GRACE AND TRUTH!, NOT TRUTH ALONE!!! YOUR TYPE ARE DESPICABLE MONSTERS!!! YOU'VE RUINED THE GOOD NEWS AND YOU WILL BE JUDGED ACCORDINGLY!!! I LOOK FORWARD TO THE RETURN OF CHRIST BECAUSE YOUR KIND HAS BROKEN THE IMAGE THE CHURCH WAS TO BE FOR THIS LOST AND DYING WORLD!!!!

Hi, and welcome to our friendly forums! I see you've made the mistake of reading the Holy Bible with your 21st Century Jesus Loves Everybody Kumbaya glasses. That's a shame because you are worshiping a false lord, dear, and are in dire need of the Good News yourself. You see, Jesus wasn't the 1970's throwback hippy people like to portray Him as. Oh no. He was confident, strong, divisive, and yes, even quite rude to people. Jesus called people "dogs" (Matthew 7:6; 2 Peter 2:20-22, Revelation 22:15); "swine" (Matthew 7:6); "vipers" (Matthew 3:7; Matthew 12:34, 23:33; Luke 3:7); hypocrites" (Matthew 6:2; Matthew 6:5, 16, 15:7, 16:3, 22:18, 23:13-15, 29, 24:51, Mark 7:6, Luke 11:44, 12:56); "children of the devil" (John 8:44; Acts 13:10); and much more (found in the link I provided, thanks to our own dearest Spirit-Led apologist, Mr. Thurmond). Now imagine if the LORD spoke in today's vernacular. "Dogs" and "vipers" might be replaced with "retards" and "unsaved trash." Why does this surprise you so much to see the LORD is a God of Action? Do you forget He is the One who ordered the massacres of entire cities to wipe out the stain of blasphemy ( (Deuteronomy 13:13-19)? Do you forget He is the One who ordered the whole scale murder, pillage, and gang rape of entire cultures for the sake of His Glory (Numbers 31:7-18)? Do you forget He turned a woman into a pillar of salt simply for being curious and not controlling her impulse to see what happened to her city and all her friends and neighbors (Genesis 19:26)? Why do you wish to envision Our Great and Mighty Lord as a pansy, skipping along and singing folk songs with an acoustic guitar, water with lemon wedges and mint leaves, and eating vegetarian? That's not a nice image to promote of the Redeemer of the World, dear, and I think you owe Him an apology.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Ah, you do not believe that Bible is the word of God, so obviously you are not a Christian. That is my fault that I did not realize that from the start.
You read the words, but you are blind to the truth. As 2 Timothy 3:16 clearly shows, it was not Paul that wrote Ephesians. Paul merely held the pen, Jesus did the writing. Just as in every bit of the Scripture.
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
So it's not Paul's opinion that women must subject to their husbands, it is a command from Jesus Himself.
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Anyway, you are mixing two different things here. Violence and discipline. It's not violence to discipline your wife or your children as God commands. It is in fact an act of love. We are also familiar with the cleansing power of bruises.
Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

How dare you from reading my posts misrepresent what I was saying. Jesus Christ is a fair and just God who hates sin and will pour His wrath out on this world when He returns. All of these verses about hypocrites, He was talking TO THE PHARISEES!!! THE ULTRA RELIGIOUS!!! THE TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU ARE!!! You are misrepresenting Christ and His true followers, and thus His Church and His Word!!! No, Dogs in today's vernacular would NOT be 'retards'. Dogs was a term used by Hebrews for the Gentile. Perhaps today the word would be "goyum" which is a word used today already. Or perhaps from the perspective of our saved Christian perspective, 'dogs' would translate to 'unsaved' or 'wicked'.
Grow up, you're dodging the point!
Lot's wife was turned to salt because her heart was with that wicked city of Sodom. That whole family had been corrupted! Look what the daughters thought was acceptable - getting their own father drunk and getting pregnant! And look at their offspring... Enemies of Israel! Lot himself was found at the city gates WHERE ELDERS OF THE CITY WOULD GATHER. He was one of them! His righteousness was in repenting and believing Christ when He came to rescue him.
Israel was not told to rape Canaan! Women could be taken as wives if I remember correctly. Canaan was wicked and after 400 years the inhabitants were still following Satan (just like the founders and major participants of this forum) in their wicked lives, so it was time to wipe them out and give the promised land to Israel. God never changes, He's going to wipe out the world again in judgement. Christ is returning with the the Sword of the Spirit - the Word of God - pouring out of His mouth! But John 3:17 says that He has come not to condemn but to save through Himself! That means we are in a time of mercy before His 2nd coming! Your forum is FILLED with condemnation and does not win souls!
Jesus was NOT a pansy and I never implied Him to be. I said He was COMPASSIONATE AND TENDER!!! YOU CAN BE STRONG AND STILL MAINTAIN COMPASSION AND TENDERNESS!!! HE'S BOTH THE LION OF JUDAH AND THE LAMB OF GOD!!! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS PICTURE?!?!
Take this site down, post a public apology and explanation, and repent!!!

By reading, believing, and following the very Word of God? Are you suggesting you have some special telepathic mind-meld with the Lord of lords to know what He really meant to say when He mistakenly inspired the Scriptures to be written? That must be quite a privilege you assume the LORD gave you - to single-handedly be in possession of what He really meant when He said what He said. I wonder how He ever held out so long, knowing Paul was mistaken and everyone only had to wait 2000 years for you to come along and set us all straight. Why don't you write the Third Testament and correct the other Two officially?

There is so much gobbledygook in this statement. Lot's wife was turned to salt because she looked back. If it was because her heart was wicked, the Bible would say that. The daughters got their father drunk to populate the earth like Cain and Abel did with Eve. If they were wicked and slutty, how do you think they got that way (hint - their own father was ready to shlepp them off to the rape gang outside the door). Christ wasn't born at this time.

Oh, I see. So in your humble opinion, taking a young woman or girl, after watching her entire family and community slaughtered in font of her eyes, dragged off by enemy soldiers, forcibly penetrated by strange and smelly men who likely spoke a different language, was not rape. It was... love at first sight?
I hope you never have daughters.

Glad to see SOMEBODY else is standing for the redemption Jesus provides...my brother TruDisciple is being the best witness on these boards.
And FYI, I don't know why Proverbs wasn't made apocrypha already...as we see in 1 Kings, its author fell apart really quickly, turning his heart to other gods and even building temples for them...no books of the Bible should be written by someone in hell.

You must have me confused with one of the LBC folk...I don't use the KJV, simply because I prefer a Bible written in language in which people actually speak.
But yes, Solomon descended VERY deep, making alliances with foreign nations, intermarrying to the point where he worshipped their false gods and built temples for them...you can check his descent in 1 Kings.

Then cite whatever perversion you want to, and I'll show how you've misunderstood whatever it says.
