    Kill!! - Its the Christian thing to do!

    The 6th Commandment
    "Thou Shalt Not Kill".....or why the KJV is the only inerrant word of God...
    A Translation Problem

    The word "kill" in Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17 means "murder." The proper translation is THOU SHALT NOT MURDER. It is interesting that in Matthew 19:18 the KJV correctly translates the Sixth Commandment: "Thou shalt do no murder."
    The Hebrew word (ratsach) and the Greek Word (phonenō) which are used in the Sixth Commandment both clearly mean "murder." The Hebrew language has a general word for killing (the verb muwth, meaning "to cause to die") and the Greek language has a general word for killing (the verb apokteinō), but these general terms for killing are not used in the Sixth Commandment, instead very specific words are used which forbid MURDER.
    As True Christians™ we should have no issue with the killing of criminals, witches, enemy soldiers, blasphemers, gays, and errant children to name but a few -we're just not allowed to MURDER THEM, OK?
    So break out your KJV 1611 Bible, and start compiling your hit list in anticipation of the suspension of secularist law in America! After that happens it will be a BLOODBATH OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS!!

    Remember - the definition of 'murder' is to
    'kill intentionally and with premeditation",

      I'm often amazed when God is accused of 'murdering' innocent people, God doesn't 'murder' innocent people - He 'kills' guilty ones. After reading the 6th Commandment - “Thou shall not murder”, some people still don't get it.
      God doesn't murder - God kills, as an omnipotent being can only 'kill'. For one example, He 'kills' 70,000 innocent people because King David orders a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21).
      Elsewhere in the Bible, God orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing (not murder) of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all articles of value (Deuteronomy 3).
      He orders yet another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6).
      In Judges 21, He orders the deaths of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married.
      In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the deaths of all the worshippers of a false god in their very own church!
      In total, God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people killed, or 'executed in His name'. They were not 'murdered', either by God or by His servants. They were 'killed', not 'murdered', and that, my friend, is not only completely permissable, but the glorious fulfilment of Divine will.

        There are no fewer than 886 cruel and violent verses in the Good Book. This is because Jesus hates some folks and wants us to either straighten them out or kill them! Secular governments have made practicing true Christianity almost impossible* so today, everybody's mind has been warped by liberalism, humanism, and reason. But every good Christian needs to remember that in the last 100-odd years, more than 200,000,000 scum have been killed in the name of GOD. Let the statistics and history speak the undeniable truth and purchase a Godly AK-47 before Osamabama makes them illegal!!!

          How right you are, Brother Guy. The correct translation is "Thou Shalt not Murder". Now there is a problem - what should you do when the Bible instructs you to kill someone, but the laws of a society forbids it? Sadly, we have to obey the laws made by man. That is why it is so important to elect True Christians at every level of government who can bring our laws back into line with the Bible.

          Every time I see a Wiccan or an unruly child, I have to hold back tears of frustration over the fact that I cannot kill those savages as God tells me to.

            This just tells the truth about some overreligious christians. You are no different from those muslimscums who behead and cut hands etc. You are the reason why non-believers often hate believers.                 the 6th commandment says thou shalt not kill. Not thou shalt not murder. Though kill and murder are in essence the same thing. You trying to say that there was an intepretation mistake IN the Bible is terrible. It is like you are trying to change the bible to what you want. It says thou shalt not kill. It doesnt say though shalt not murder so dont try to change it to that and then say its ok to kill someone. Because killing/murdering is all wrong in God's eyes.

                      Maybe you need to read a little more of the Book than those parts that sit comfortably with the modern day, over-liberalised, sin-accomodating
                      apologists who like to pretend they can be any manner of deviant, wrong-doer, or unsalvageable sinner , but still play at being a Christian.

                      If you actually read some of the posts with your eyes open , and your heart available to the Lord, you might reallise that Brothers Mayfield and Bathfire have tried hard to demonstrate that the Lord clearly defines and demonstrates the difference between a righteous killing and an unrighteous murder.

                      There are many , many passages where His Word speaks volumes in teaching us those differences...

                      Are you actually trying to say that every soldier that goes to war , even as myself, in the Lord's name, is a murderer...
                      Are you saying that every police officer who might have to clear hiis weapon and fell a wrong-doer is a murderer...
                      after all, you said there was no difference between any killing and murder..
                      Read your Bible,, the KJV , not some new-fangled or catholic cut and ppaste tthat gets adjusted every time some council or PC bunch decide the Lord's word is uncomfortable or clashes with their need.

                      That , on its own makes aall the point that is needed..He made us in his image to serve him and His Word...

                      I know there are pieces in the Bible that speak of mercy and forgiveness, but they don't deny we were created by a Lord to be warlike when needed.. All they do is point out we need to be mindful of where and when and who we need slay.

                      Just incase you decide to suggest that terms like war and battle are symbollic for spiritual struggle alone...read these, they will set that straight.

                      Exodus 17:16
                      For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have
                      war with Amalek from generation to generation.

                      16..Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

                      Numbers 35:27

                      and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:

                      You say "Because killing/murdering is all wrong in God's eyes".... rethink that one as well.
                      Other verses remove any doubt about the Lord seeing War, and thus killing, as necessary for his Kingdom to flourish and grow.

                      Deuteronomy 2:24
                      Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

                      Judges 20:28
                      And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go up; for to morrow I will deliver them into thine hand.

                      Zechariah 10:5
                      And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

                      1 Chronicles 14:15
                      And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.


                      The psalms even celebrate the Lord's take on those who wage just war and smite the sinners

                      Psalm 18:39
                      For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

                      Thou... ie the Lord...


                      Psalm 24:8
                      Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

                      There are hundreds more passages that extol the virtues of war and its neccessary killing. Many others celebrate the wars , battle , and killing of those in service to the Lord.

                      All of those clearly underline, demonstrate and prove that the Commandment
                      Thou shallt not kill...
                      clearly means murder...

                      you just set out to deny that the context is made clear , and use four words to argue against the many thousands of words that create the actual context.


                      so...take a while to get to know the Bible before you make rash and sweeping statements meant to belittle folks who obviously know better..

                          There is no translation problem in the Bible. If you dont know the Bible is the word of God. Yes i have read the first few posts. All it was saying was that there is an error in the Bible. God is infallible. God does not make mistakes. He had thou shalt not kill for a reason, and that reason is not so that you can say that its a translation problem and try to change what the Bible said. Trying to say there is something wrong with the Bible is blasphemy.

                            Oh dear, who has not read posts 2 & 3? Does God kill? Yes. Is that right? This is a stupid question as God is always right.

                            Fred, do you deny that God has killed? It's there in the Bible. Praise!

                            Do you deny that Jesus intends killing? It's there in the Bible. Praise!

                            Fred, there are some people on this earth that any Christian worth his salt will agree should not live. They are the people who God says must die.

                            Accept this, preach it and get on with being a Christian.

                              God punishes, not kills. He gave them life and so he takes it back. Its not murder, he wants the life he gave them back.
