  • Re: Roman Catholic sex scandal of the day

See how the evil Messicant pope sucks people into his web of homerism.

First, he does something or other to help the Godless Cubanos cozy up to the mooslim Obama. I don't know what he did (and I don't care) but the result is that there is maybe, just maybe, some hope for Cuba, because once we are able to resume our missions there then it can only be a matter of time before at least ONE Cuban is Saved(TM).

But not content with that, the pope then invites Fidel Catso's even uglier brother to meet him, or at least meet a not-very-convincing lookalike of him, in Rome.

President Raul Castro of Cuba visited Pope Francis at the Vatican on Sunday, praising the Argentine pontiff for helping to broker last year’s diplomatic breakthrough between Cuba and the United States while declaring that Francis had inspired him to consider returning to the Roman Catholic Church.

Francis and Mr. Castro met privately for nearly an hour on Sunday morning, speaking in Spanish, before the Cuban leader left the Vatican to meet with the Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi. At a later news conference, Mr. Castro promised a warm welcome for Francis when he goes to Cuba in September before visiting the United States.

“I promise to go to all his Masses, and with satisfaction,” Mr. Castro said during the televised news conference. “I read all the speeches of the pope, his commentaries, and if the pope continues this way, I will go back to praying and go back to the church. I’m not joking.”

And so it begins, with hapless young, clean-limbed Cubish boys sucked into the role of altar-boy. And we all know where that leads.

According to an Austrian news source, Cardinal George Pell allegedly attempted to bribe the victim of a pedophile priest to keep him quiet.

Justice Peter McClellan said Cardinal Pell would be called on by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse to make a statement about the Catholic Church's response to alleged abuse.

David Ridsdale, the nephew of Ridsdale, told the inquiry hearings in Ballarat that he reported the abuse by his uncle to Cardinal Pell in 1993.

He said Cardinal Pell was not shocked and instead allegedly asked Mr Ridsdale what it would take for him to stay quiet.

"George then began to talk about my growing family and my need to take care of their needs. He mentioned how I would soon have to buy a car or house for my family," he said.

"I remember with clarity the last three lines we spoke together.

"Me: Excuse me, George, what the *** blank *** are you talking about?
"George: I want to know what it will take to keep you quiet.
"Me: *** blank *** you, George, and everything you stand for."
Mr Ridsdale said after he rejected the offer, he hung up.

        [. . .]

Another survivor, Timothy Green, told the royal commission that the cardinal was dismissive when he reported that Brother Edward Dowlan was abusing boys at St Patricks College in Ballarat.

"He said 'don't be ridiculous'," Mr Green said.

"Father Pell didn't ask any questions, he didn't ask 'what do you mean?' or 'how could you say that?'

"He just dismissed it and walked out. His reaction gave me the impression that he knew about Brother Dowlan, but couldn't or wouldn't do anything about it."

Cardinal Pell, who was an assistant priest in Ballarat East from 1973 to 1983, later became Archbishop of Melbourne and then Sydney and now oversees the Vatican's finances.

He has previously confirmed accompanying Ridsdale to his court hearings in 1993, saying he did not realise at the time the impression this would give to victims.
In this 60 Minutes interview, Pell claims he only offered victims compensation, not bribes. Starts @ 10:27.

I commend brother Pendergast for bringing this Austrian matter to our attention.

There will be a special place in hell for Pell. This servant of Satan, even looks like a demon. May he suffer internally and eternally.

Of course my remarks are made in a concerned, supportive and loving way.

So Romanist child molestation is the result of a few bad apples? Tell that to prosecutors in Minnesota. Even in a deep blue state that gave us Garrison Keillor, they know that the Roman institution itself is culpable.

            From the JYT:
CHICAGO — Prosecutors in Minnesota filed criminal charges on Friday against the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, accusing church leaders of mishandling repeated complaints of sexual misconduct against a priest and failing to follow through on pledges to protect children and root out pedophile clergymen.

            * * *

The six criminal charges filed Friday, misdemeanors with a maximum fine of $3,000 each, accused the archdiocese of failing to protect children. [A county prosecutor with a Vietnamese-sounding last name] also filed a civil petition against the archdiocese that he said was intended to provide legal remedies to prevent similar inaction from happening again.

              Dear fellow Christians

You should not judge that hard on the weakness of flesh for it is only human to sin sometimes

Moreover; the holy Catholic church does so much good in the world. You should better talk about that instead of repeating unproven accusations against priests who in truth work hard to serve Christ the Lord.

And even if a little minor part of sayd accusations were true; I could easily wind up a perfect apologetic which would stop you in your tracks.

Do not forget please that the status of a Catholic priest is in between human and angel - so what is the harm done when we like to care for the little angels that are boys?

2 Bishops Resign in Minnesota Over Sexual Abuse Scandal
CHICAGO — Two bishops in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis resigned their posts Monday, the second time this spring that American church leaders have stepped aside after complaints over their handling of sexual abuse claims involving priests.

In Minnesota, Archbishop John C. Nienstedt and an auxiliary bishop, Lee A. Piché, announced their departures less than two weeks after prosecutors in St. Paul accused the archdiocese of willfully ignoring warning signs of a pedophile priest. Their resignations followed the April exit of Bishop Robert W. Finn from the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph in Missouri, who had been convicted of a misdemeanor for failing to report a priest who took pornographic pictures of girls.
Vatican Sets Trial for Ex-Ambassador Accused of Sexual Abuse
The Vatican announced on Monday that in July it will open a trial of its former ambassador to the Dominican Republic on charges of sexually abusing boys while serving in the Caribbean and of possessing child pornography.

The case of the former envoy and archbishop, Jozef Wesolowski, caused an international scandal when it was learned that the Vatican had secretly recalled him from Santo Domingo, the Dominican capital, before officials in the Caribbean nation could investigate. The Vatican said he could not be tried in the Dominican Republic because he had diplomatic immunity.

Romanist priest rapes boy and then blames the victim.

                          From The Daily Fail:
A priest admitted to inappropriate behavior with a teenage parishioner, according to NJ.com.

The 51-year-old priest, Rev. [strange Mexican name deleted], fled the country in 2003 after [other strange Mexican name deleted], then 15, says he was raped by the priest.

The alleged pedophile priest came out of hiding long enough to talk to a reporter from NJ.com and admitted to having sex with the teen, who is now 28, in a bedroom of the rectory at St. Mary's Church in Plainfield.

'I didn't force him to do anything he didn't want,' he reportedly told the journalist.
Nothing says, "I have nothing to hide" like fleeing the country for Ecuador, which isn't famous for scrupulously following its extradition treaties. Also, this church's unsaved sodomite lawyer tells me that since the age of consent in New Jersey is 16, the priest's "defense" is beside the point.

The pope of Rome, always on the lookout for newer and better ways of offending Jesus, has taken it upon himself to order his priests to pretend that God will forgive the murder of babies (aka abortions). Can you imagine?

Pope Francis says all priests can forgive women who've had abortions

(CNN)Pope Francis shook up the Catholic world -- again -- on Tuesday by announcing that priests around the world will be authorized to forgive the "sin of abortion" when the church begins a "Year of Mercy" this December.

"The forgiveness of God cannot be denied to one who has repented," the Pope said, adding that he has met "many women" scarred by the "agonizing and painful" decision to have an abortion.

Francis' announcement will give all priests full authority to absolve Catholics contrite about their role in a procedure that the church considers a grave "moral evil." In the United States, many priests already have that power, but Vatican officials portrayed Tuesday's announcement as "a widening of the church's mercy."

"What's new is that Pope Francis, at least for the Year of Mercy, is universalizing this permission," said the Rev. James Martin, a Jesuit priest and editor-at-large at America magazine in New York. "Just as notable is his pastoral, compassionate and understanding tone towards women who have had abortions."

The Pope's policy does not change church doctrine and applies only to the Year of Mercy, a centuries-old Catholic practice during which believers may receive special indulgences for their sins. The mercy year begins on December 8 and runs through November 20, 2016. Vatican officials said it is possible the pontiff will allow the abortion policy to continue in perpetuity.

In his short statement, the Pope said he sympathizes with "women who have resorted to abortion," believing that they have no other option. "I am well aware of the pressure that has led them to this decision."

The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that person who procures an abortion incurs automatic excommunication, a penalty that often only a bishop can lift. Some experts in the Catholic canon law expressed confusion about the practical effects of the Pope's announcement.

Edward Peters, a canon lawyer at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, said Francis' statement seems to assume that the "sin" of abortion and the "crime" of abortion are treated equally under church law.

But Peters said priests have been empowered to forgive the sin, which most often applies to women who have an abortion, since 1983, when the code of canon law was revised.

It's the canonical crime of abortion, which Peters said more aptly applies to abortion providers, that would incur automatic excommunication and require a bishop's intervention.

In an explanatory article, a consultant to the Vatican Press Office agreed that, under current church law "in many cases" an abortion "may be absolved as would any other serious sin."
I am speechless. The blatant godmockery at work here is nothing short of revolting.

You remember that expression, "Is the Pope Catholic?", used as a rather sarcastic "yes"?
