Nonsense! We in Britain have a saying: "You can say what you like about Mussolini, but at least he made the trains run on time."
(This is in fact absolutely true. The Italian trains
do run on time, mostly. It is surprisingly easy to do this, if you arrange the schedule so as to allow 20 minutes per mile traveled. The British railway system, with its hopelessly optimistic timetables, has much to learn from the Eyetalians.)
