Yes, that was exactly my intention. It looks like a normal atheist sunday morning. The atheist-reader actually identifies himself with the characters, he feels with them. The people think "Hey this guy could be me!"
But then something happens, the family is confronted with an situation they
are not able to deal with. Their own moral-system is not able to find a solution. The woman has many similarity with Eve from the Bible.
But in my story she is the leader but without any moral system she is a blind captain, and she will crush the ship (her family) into the next iceberg. It is only a matter of time.
