I think it is God's way of telling Catholics and heathens that He has had enough of them on earth and its time to stoke the fires of Hell.
I think God must have been really teed off with
Hildegard of Bingen back when the world was more holy. She is probably the saint of anorexia. She used to starve herself until she became deluded.
This starving yourself is sheer blasphemy - God provided us all with food aplenty - the only people who don't seem to care are those Darkies in Africa, they just sit in the sun waiting to be fed by US aid convoys.
