What should we do? Accept only the verses that support your view or include also verses of the Bible that indicate the opposite?
Luke 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
How are we supposed to ignore this? Jesus says that those who do not accept Him and His power,
i.e., those who do not believe Him, should be slain before Him. That is what Jesus tells us do do with non-believers. It is equally a part of the Bible. How do you choose the verses you follow?
Look at this:
Matthew 13:38-42
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Children of the Kingdom = believers in
Jesus. Tares = those who do not believe. They are according to
Jesus cast into Hell. In your opinion, did
Jesus lie here? Does the Bible lie? How do you tell the parts that are true from the lies?
Jesus doesn't curse unbelievers?
Matthew 25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
I'm sorry but if we take the Bible as the Word of God, your post does not make sense. Oh yeah, it would be wonderful if everybody were saved regardless of faith, conduct, obeying the Bible... But, according to the Word of God, it just isn't so.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer
