Nor do I (I'm atheist, thanks for noticing), but bride-price is condoned by the Bible. All Bibles, not just the King James. In fact, the KJV is more "humane" than most; the verse in question refers to the girl as a "maidservant", where most translations call her a "slave".

How is it "twisted" by quoting it word-for-word, with citations and references? Wouldn't "twisting" it be what happens in mainstream churches (like the one your parents go to), where they deny what's plainly written in the Book they're praising?
