The last bastion of Godliness has fallen in the British Isles – in the aptly named Hebrides (pron: He-Brides) a set of islands off NW coast of Scotland has this week witnessed work on the Sabbath and now, unbelievably, homers marrying.
This is the end for the God-Fearing population – the entire islands will descend into a Sodom and Gomorrah, normal marriages will end, children will be perverted as they walk along the road and women will turn to doing unnatural things.
Quote:
New Zealander Craig Atkins, 35, has taken part in the first civil partnership in Scotland's western isles since same-sex marriages were legalised by Britain in 2003.
His ceremony at the weekend with children's television presenter Andrew Robertson, 35, caused a flurry of controversy on the staunchly religious Isle of Lewis, where even the recent start of Sunday ferry sailings caused an uproar, The Scotsman newspaper reported.
The ceremony was not welcomed by the island's Free Church of Scotland leaders - who have branded same-sex unions a "sin" - but Robertson, a host on Gaelic channel BBC Alba, said: "Everything has gone smoothly, no hitches at all."
The couple live at Habost on the island, and Mr Atkins manages the Stornoway arts centre.
Registrar Euphemia MacDonald was legally obliged to record the union, though western isles councillors agreed three years ago to support registrars who refused to perform civil partnerships.
A Free Church of Scotland spokesman said: "On the very weekend the ferry was supposed to sail on the Sabbath, this is disappointing.
"The council should not be forcing staff to conduct ceremonies like these. It is immoral and a sin."
Most of the 18,000 islanders on the Hebrides archipelago about 250 miles northwest of Edinburgh, strictly adhere to the books of Genesis and Exodus from the Old Testament, in which God declared the seventh day reserved for rest and worship.

I’m sure there are going to be a lot of jokes about the pair being Ben Doon and Phillip MacCrack or Donald Fitzwilliam and William FitzDonald, etc., but this does not detract from the seriousness of this abomination and attack upon God.
