The context of "other gods" is given in The Bible. God explains how false gods are false, how they have themselves to be made by some metalworker (or woodworker or potter) like this:
Habakkuk 2
18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
KJV
They are incapable of doing anything at all let alone create the whole world including the very metal and wood they're crafted from.
God is particularly clear that anyone who considers the merits of
any idol or other false god (such as planets or the anogenital area) is exactly the same as a prostitute. As far as God is concerned reading your horoscope and hanging around down the docks in a spandex miniskirt when the fleet is in at midnight are not two activities, they are the same activity and you might just as well eat live babies. He is very clear on this point.
Eventually the Israelites got the idea.
Lamentations 5
22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
KJV
Why are you having such difficulty with the concept?
