Tyler Comstock got what he had coming to him.
Disrespecting ones parents is a capital offense, according to God's Holy Word. So it should come as no surprise the Lord Jesus appointed Ames, Iowa Officer Adam McPherson as His agent of justice against a disobedient son.

Officer McPherson should receive a commendation and a promotion for his bravery in defending God's Holy Word.

Leviticus 20:9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

Exodus 21:17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21

18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

Deuteronomy 27:16 Cursed is he who dishonors his father or mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

Jesus reiterates this in His rebuke of the Pharisees for not following the law, while following oral tradition.

Matthew 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

Mark 7:10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

James Comstock told the Des Moines Register he called the police on his son Tyler after the latter took the former's truck in retaliation for refusing to buy him cigarettes.
Ames Police Officer Adam McPherson reportedly spotted the lawn care company vehicle and pursued it onto the Iowa State University campus, where a brief standoff ensued after Tyler allegedly refused orders to turn off the engine.
McPherson eventually fired six shots into the truck, two of which struck Tyler who was later pronounced dead.
The official report claims the action was necessary in order "to stop the ongoing threat to the public and the officers."
Tyler's dad says he was unarmed at the time.
"So he didn't shut the damn truck off, so let's fire six rounds at him?" exclaimed Gary Shepley, Tyler's step-grandfather. "We're confused, and we don't understand."

It's good to know that our LEOs are still reading the Bible.

I'm presuming the bullets were made of stone, of course.

It's a shame there aren't more Christians in that community, as everyone is supposed to participate.

I know. It is a shame that everyone couldn't get in on it, but the Officer had to react in a split second. That kid could have possibly been a threat to men with their guns all drawn on him.

That and some slick Jew lawyer might have gotten the punk off on some technicality.

My favorite verse comes to mind when hearing of such justices. And how absolutely Holy and praiseworthy they really are.

"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." -Proverbs 16:3

I kept repeating this verse over and over again, especially after reading the article. The officers did a fine job of delivering the message of that Spirit, and with quick speed!

The father was just doing his duties as a gracious God fearing man. And he was committed! And that with the Spirit in mind!
Perhaps, and I'm not saying it's for sure, but maybe those officers were really angels…

"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" -Hebrews 1:14

Maybe there was an onlooker at the scene. And maybe, just maybe, this very act of bravery blew wide open that God shaped vacuum within their soul, opening their very eyes to our Lord's gracious Spirit.

Perhaps so.

Well, God certainly understands and is smiling while the family must now make funeral arrangements. God bless that law enforcement officer, who is actually enforcing God's Law, the highest of all laws.

In this day and age of news without substance, it is nice to know our Lord's work is being done by some. It's a true disgrace how some children treat their parents. This boy was taught a useful lesson, and I hope he reflects on this as he roasts in hell for eternity.
