The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
Dear Forum members of God's Only Forum:
I would like to post a friendly reminder concerning the oldest apostasy in the book: Philosophy. While this word sounds benign (as in "love of wisdom") it is far from it. Allow us to quote scripture on this ancient heresy: Quote:
Modern day superstitions which stem from this ancient heresy are "evolution" the idea that we all are fish inside, and "the Socratic method" which alledgely gives a right to question Revealed Divine Truth. The Socratic Method is satanic, and homosexual (Greek) in nature. Scripture does not condone this method and its offshoots. Quote:
Wisdom = keeping silent. Superstition = blabbering on about hypothetical nonsense not found in Scripture. Amen. |
Re: The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
Homosexual is right, brother! I understand that Plato like to bugger young boys. Lends a whole new dimension to the term, "platonic friendship," wouldn't you say?
Show me a philosopher and I'll show you a tenured radical at a public college who uses hypothetical mind games to get young co-eds to "let go of their hangups" and do sexual things with him. |
Re: The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
Thank you for that anointed preaching.
God tells us to beware of philosphy: [Colossians 2:8 KJV] 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Well we should, since philosphy encourages independent, critical thought instead of complete trust in God: [Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV] 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. |
Re: The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
In my learned, True Christian™ opinion, philosophy is nothing but a system designed by satan to confuse, depress and befuddle. Folks get caught up in the philosophy habit and it moves them away from Righteousness. It puffs up their ego and makes them think they know something when in fact they don't. That's why 99% of all philosophers end up committing sodomy and killing themselves and going to hell.
Satan is good at making simple things complicated. All you need to do is trust in Christ and send in your Tithes. Anyone who lives like that does fine. |
Re: The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
Amen!
The only rational mode of thought is Bible-based theology. If you can't ground your thoughts in the facts given to us by God himself, then how could you ever know whether you were wrong? This is why I'm glad I have people like the good Pastor Ezekiel to do the thinking for me. |
Re: The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
Colossians 2Greek philosophers were just terrible. Everything they taught, especially the maniac Democritus, contradicts God's revelation in which knowledge and wisdom are perfected. I do not cherry pick verses that make me feel I'm walking in the air or whatever it is Episcopalians feel like and Zoroastrians so you will find in the context link—well, perhaps you're already aware of this but heathens also check the site and I am happy to post Scripture for them—that wisdom and knowledge are specifically mentioned. 1 9b all wisdom and spiritual understanding;Obviously I do not intrude opinions and I don't need to. God spells it out here in words of one syllable so that even a child could understand it. Half baked secularists such as the Archbishop of Canterbury—or even Democritus but he was fully cooked of course—spout off garbage at so-much-per-word (and a couple of free palaces fro the Archbishop) such as there is a difference between the spiritual values of Christians (or Parsees) and the material values of science but whooooooooops!! did the Anglicans forget to tell God who does distinguish between the two AND INCLUDES BOTH? It's not some wisdom it's all wisdom which is differentiated from spiritual understanding sure, even in the same verse, and spiritual understanding is included. God, in explaining about Creation, specifies all things not only heavenly things but earthly things too. Not only visible things but invisible things too. Not to enable a half baked watered cown assurance of fudgement but the full assurance of understanding and unlike Democritus with his infinite voids and granular motions through minimum dimensions God spells it out very clearly that in Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And that is why philosophy relies on indoctrination: what rational adult knowing The Truth could ever accept mumbojumbo, whether concentrated (Democritus) or in its diluted form (Canterbury)? Whether a child has read up on quantum theory or not, any child knows what "all" means and that is the type of Knowledge described BY GOD in The Bible. When atheism re-emerged during the 17th century, for example with Spinoza, the Greek philosophies which had been shut down for over a millennium also re-emerged. And almost exactly from where they had left off. The results of that castrophe are seen all around us. |

Even Ariana Huffington's liberal propaganda machine has been forced to admit what we already knew about philosophy teachers:
Sexual Harassment Report Rocks University Of Colorado Boulder Philosophy Department Disgusting! |

Since atheist homers are waging a War on Christians, we are free to wage a War on Philosophy.

Re: The Oldest Cult of All - "Philosophy"
Philosophy is the "love of wisdom." But God tells us that we are to love Him above all else. To put wisdom before God is to be a fool in Truth.
I Corinthians 1:18-31 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 that no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. Choose not the love of wisdom. Stop vainly thinking for yourself, put your faith in Jesus, and choose the foolishness of God. |
