Uppity female doctoress thinks she can thwart God's will.

All right-thinking people know that GRID is God's judgment on those who violate His many rules on sexual behavior. Now, however, monkey-worshiping doctors think that they can gainsay the Almighty.

From The Washington False Christian Compost:
Quote:

Baby born with HIV is apparently cured with aggressive drug treatment

A baby born with the AIDS virus two years ago in Mississippi who was put on antiretroviral therapy within hours of birth appears to have been cured of the infection, researchers said Sunday at a scientific conference in Atlanta.

* * *

“We are calling this a ‘functional cure,’ ” said Katherine [unpronounceable foreign name deleted], a physician at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, who was involved in the baby’s care. “Time and further investigation will tell us whether this child actually has been cured or not.”
Time and further investigation will tell that God is not mocked:

2 Chron. 16:12-13: And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease [was] exceeding [great]: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.

I would not be surprised if Jesus places a sink hole right under her bed for doing this.

Re: Uppity female doctoress thinks she can thwart God's will.

So God performs a miracle and cures a baby born to the sin of it's mother and the doctors are all congratulating each other?

Even Moses was cursed for having such pride.

I pray that once the baby is old enough to understand, that it realized that it was JESUS and not doctors who saved it.

I heard of that just last night in CNN. I'm so happy for that little baby girl, I believe God was on her mother and doctors hearts and actions when they cured her. I hope she growns up to be a good girl and a good woman :)

Oh, and here's the complete new, if you want to read it

So you believe God gave that little girl AIDS, because the mother infected her daughter with AIDS, and if God was "on her heart" (whatever that means) and "actions", therefore God wanted that little girl to be born with AIDS.

1) Why would an omnipotent being intentionally infect an innocent child with a life-threatening illness? Would that not be the act of a heartless monster?

2) If you accept that God gave that little girl AIDS, and had His reasons for doing so, why are you not cursing the doctors for attempting to thwart the will of God?

Oh absolutely. I'm definitely happy for the poor baby, and thankful that she'll be able to live a normal, healthy life.

1.- Her mother gave her the illness because she wasn't careful and contracted it in some way, God just helped her to be cured

2.- Maybe because I'm not a stupid religious fanatic just like lots of another people here and I don't think God gave a little girl and illness? I don't use him to everything, but in this case I think he was present when that girl was cured

So you accept that God cured the Baby? Then why is this "doctor" taking the credit for it? Or is your god so impotent that he can't handle the job himself.

Oh and the mother got it from being a sinful harlot. If any disease has God's Wrath written all over it, it's AIDs.

So God doesn't give disease, he only takes it away? So where does disease come from then? Think carefully.

Both God and the doctors were there. A miracle can't be done if we don't do our part too

AIDS can be contracted in others way apart than sexual, like sharing infected needles with people who already has the virus, is something really often in drug addicts. Blood transfusions could also be the reason, so please stop with your ignorance and read a little instead of blaming God

Wow.

If human intervention makes a difference, by definition it is NOT a miracle.

They're crediting God, not blaming Him. I thought a "Christian" would know the difference.

Humans sometimes are capable of extraordinary things, you know

BUT NOT MIRACLES, by definition. If humans did it, it's not a miracle.

It was not a miracle. It was an act of the devil. God intended the little girl to suffer because of the sins committed by her mother - Exodus 20:5 "....visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me"

Obviously, the parents of that child must be God haters.

He's an atheist, he's going to say the doctor was capable of doing this all by herself. Or maybe that the child had some "genetic factor" that helped. HE'S NOT GOING TO SAY IT'S A MIRACLE!

Seriously have you ever even been in a church? I know that most South Americans are big on catholicism, but any catholic that's even been baptized knows what a miracle is. Even if it's just a funny burnt piece of toast.

Umm.....

Matthew 12:24-28 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Satan does not cast himself out. Perhaps the grandparents are Christian and were able to cast the demon out, or perhaps one of the nurses, or other staff in the hospital.

Satan's trick is turning the miracle into a mundane human made "cure". Excluding God and making this woman think she's a genius for curing the child.

I don't mean to argue with you, but:

Revelation 16:14 warns us "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles..." And the doctors who healed the girl were definitely ungodly!

So... save a life, an innocent one by the way, is ungodly and devilish? Yeah, you're right, that little baby deserved the death :sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm::sarc asm::sarcasm:

Stop the nonsense, that girl was saved and that's all! Or are you planning going to the hospital and kill the girl by yourself? That girl is going to go home, she'll have a good and normal life and if that makes you angry then screw yourself ¬¬

As both of you can apparently clearly see the future (while being extremely myopic about the past and present) how about next week's lotto numbers?

Dear friend, why do you have so much anger within you? Do you see where it did get you? Now you are banned.
