No, we are NOT our brother's keepers!

Here is an example of the misuse of the term "brother's keeper" by a boy who may have been to Sunday School but has not properly studied the Bible:

It begs the question, are we actually our brother's keepers? It turns out, the Bible doesn't say this.

The term "brother's keeper" comes from Genesis 4: 9-10:
And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
And He [God] said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
First, notice that "brother" doesn't mean "fellow man", because Abel is Cain's BROTHER, as in, same mother and father. But the really important thing here is God's response - he completely ignores the "brother's keeper" comment, because it's obviously a distraction.

So, God's reply to the above video would be "Brother's keeper? Quit the diversionary tactics. You're a hubcap-stealing, wife and daughter-raping, uppity Hamite savage who should go back to his ghetto, or better yet back to Africa!"

So, you see when socialists talk about how they are their "brother's keeper" they are just distracting us from the fact that they are murderers. Their doctors murder babies, in Europe and Canada their death panels murder old people, and their elites murdered Jesus.

Oh, and by the way, though Cain may have been a murderer, God so liked his "brother's keeper" comment that He decided not to punish him. Here's God's judgement: Gen 4:15-17
15And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
16And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
17And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city
So Cain gets God as his personal bodyguard, he gets a wife and a son, and even gets his own CITY!

Proudly not your brother's keeper? God loves you so much He'll let you get away with murder.:)

I always wondered where George Orwell got his idea for the term "Big Brother". That theme would certainly fit in well Caine's definition of "brotherhood".
