  • A cane or a staff?

My ankle is messed up due to something I did to make God angry. I was hobbling around on a cane, but I got to thinking I really should have a staff.
The only cane in the 1611 is sugar cane, or even worse, Cain. Cain killed Abel. So if we just adjust the spellings, a cane can kill able! Thus when you use a cane, you are dead of your ability!

But a staff? It's all over the Bible! Just don't strike it against a stone like Moses and it should be no problem. But, I don't know. Is it ok to walk the streets with a staff?
    Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Re: A cane or a staff?

I think a staff is fine hoever, I occassionaly do double duty with my rod. The staff I have is a heirloom and I'd hate to need to suddenly strike out and possibly break it on the back of a field worker. The rod is iron and does not bend, plus they are cheap at Tractor Supply..
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
